Isiah Thompson, Owner
Isiah started his career working for Hat Creek Construction and when he left, his title was Project Engineer and he was co-managing projects up to $5 million in size. His heart was always in forestry however and in 2017 he joined Forest Fitness in New Mexico as their Mastication Division Manager. In this role, Isiah bid, scheduled and managed 8 operators and 8 High Horsepower Rubber Tired Masticator/Mulchers and managed multiple thousand-acre fire prevention projects. In 2019 Isiah came home to Northern California with 2 years of intense mastication experience and founded/started Thompson Land Management, LLC. The company has grown quickly and now has 8 machines and several employees. His previous experience has proved to be invaluable in running his business. Isiah is passionate about improving the health and future of our forests, both as a way of life, and a place his family will continue to enjoy for many generations. As the owner of Thompson Land Management, LLC, he has the long-term sustainability and profitability of the company in mind. Isiah spends a great deal of time creating and maintaining relationships within the community and among other leaders within the forestry industry. As a leader of employees, he sets the example and works at developing company standards that create both a productive and positive work environment. He is constantly looking to be strategic in jobs TLM bids to ensure that they are able to complete the tasks required, safely, with the proper equipment, and at the highest quality level possible.
Clay Brock, Operations Manager
Clay Brock brings eight years of experience in the forestry industry to his role as Operations Manager at Thompson Land Management, LLC. His extensive background covers a wide range of tasks, including timber sales marking, water course flagging, timber cruising, equipment operation, and mechanical repair. Clay's dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction has made him an invaluable asset to the ongoing success of Thompson Land Management, LLC.
The Team
“It’s really hard finding young people who are interested in the environment and wilderness, but somehow I met the right people,” explains Isiah. “We are all similar in many ways as far as our devotion to this line of work, and when you have that kind of bonding, it’s easy to get things done. We are a family-like crew that share similar outlooks on life, which is why we get along so well.”
